Abhimanyu assures Naina that he will prove Naveen innocent once he finds out who had killed him. Naina tells him that first she is more keen to find out about who those people were who framed Naveen and proved him a traitor in front of everyone. She asks Abhimanyu if he has a reach, a contact amongst the higher authorities in the Army Headquarters so that they could easily find out about the red box.

Naina realizes she is at a dead end when Abhimanyu tells her that because of the kind of posts he has held in the army, he has always been very vulnerable to enemies hence the top secrets were not revealed to him. All the cadets are chit-chatting and pulling jokes at each other in the classroom when Abhimanyu tells them that the music created or played by anyone is a reflection of what's going on in the mind and soul of the person.

Having stated this, he asks Pooja and Huda to play some music on the drums and trumpet respectively and to everyone's surprise, Abhimanyu reads their minds bang on as guilty and jealous respectively. Abhimanyu then plays some music himself, asking the cadets to guess and Naina happens to read his state of mind correctly. Aalekh is playing the mouthorgan for Yudi and is upset at his non-responsive state- Dr.Shalini comforts him and reassures him that everything would be ok and Yudi would be back to normal soon. Abhimanyu goes to the cafeteria and is treated coldly by Suriji. Realizing, that Suriji was angry about the fact that Abhimanyu had not come to formally see him since his arrival, he tries to make up for his mistake by reminding Suriji of old jokes and old times and succeeds.

BC enters and asks Abhimanyu to report to him the next day. Rajveer tells Aalekh that he should work towards becoming a cadet and not remain an orderly all his life and that he would help him do the same only if the first step was taken by Aalekh. Naina asks Rajveer for help with figuring out the details of the red box. Rajveer agrees to help Naina only on one condition – which is only if she tells Abhimanyu that he killed Naveen. He expresses to her that he is prepared to put his friendship with Abhimanyu at stake because he was sad and upset about the fact that he had to kill Naveen but at the same time was not ashamed about it. Having said this, Rajveer walks away, leaving Naina to consider this difficult proposition.
